What counts as measuring tools in this category?

Short tape measures: when do you need 2, 3, 5, 7.5, 8 or 10 metres?
Use a short tape for indoor fit-out, joinery, installations and most site “measure once” jobs. Rough guide by length (STALCO lengths available on Saniso):
- 2–3 m — tight spaces, furniture, cabinets
- 5 m — everyday building/DIY default
- 7.5–10 m — larger rooms, outdoor runs still within pocket-tape range
Standard STALCO tape measures

STALCO PERFECT: magnetic hook
Perfect magnetic-hook tapes (e.g. 3 / 5 / 8 m) add a magnetic end hook and Perfect-line housing features listed on the PDP (including drop testing of the housing from 3 m on those Perfect pages). STALCO PERFECT: auto-lock

Long measuring tapes: fiberglass, steel and geodetic
Choose a long tape when distances exceed what a pocket tape can do comfortably — plots, façades, longer outdoor runs (typically 20–50 m on Saniso).
Fiberglass measuring tapes
Fiberglass long tapes (S-106 series: 20 / 30 / 50 m × 15 mm per product title and manufacturer catalogue) suit longer runs where a non-steel blade is preferred. Example: Fiberglass measuring tape 50 m × 15 mm (S-10650) — snapshot ~€16.38 incl. VAT.

Steel long tapes (S-107: 20 / 30 m × 12.5 mm) and geodetic steel tapes (S-108: 30 / 50 m × 13 mm) cover longer steel-blade work. “Geodetic” is the product naming on Saniso for the S-108 line — not an independent certificate on the PDP. STALCO PERFECT long tapes

Wooden folding rules (1 m and 2 m)
