What is a stone chisel (for concrete and masonry)?
It is a cutting or breaking tool for stone, concrete, brick and similar hard materials — not a wood chisel for carpentry. Start from your drive: hand + hammer → flat chisels; HEX-compatible breaker → HEX 30; rotary hammer / demolition hammer with SDS-max chuck → SDS-max; lighter SDS-plus machine → SDS-plus. The shanks are not interchangeable — match the chuck on the tool.
When do you need a pointed chisel versus a wide or narrow one?
