    High-strength paper reinforcement tape for plasterboard joints and crack bridging

    Speedline Paper Joint Tape is a high-strength paper reinforcement tape designed to create strong and durable joints. It is particularly suitable for applications where movement or stress on the joint is expected. The tape features micro-perforations that ensure optimal adhesion with the joint filler.

    Applications

    Speedline Paper Joint Tape is suitable for sealing and reinforcing joints in plasterboard and for bridging cracks when repairing plasterwork.

    Suitable for:

    • Plasterboard walls
    • Gypsum board walls
    • Ceilings
    • Plasterwork
    • Connecting joints in plasterboard and gypsum fibreboard
    • Repairing cracks in walls
    • Reinforcing small joints and cracks

    The tape is used to reinforce both longitudinal joints and butt joints.

    Substrate Preparation

    Before application, thoroughly remove old, dusty, dirty and loose plaster and paint layers. Remove grease and other contaminants.

    The substrate must be sound and stable, and free from dust, loose particles, formwork oil, moisture and other contaminants that could negatively affect adhesion or fixing.

    Application

    Speedline Paper Joint Tape is used to reinforce plasterboard joints.

    • Unroll the required length of tape.
    • Apply and secure it to the prepared joint or substrate.
    • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, dust-free and grease-free.
    • Continue with the appropriate joint filler or finishing material.

    Minimum application temperature: +5°C.

    Before application, mask off any building elements that should not be treated using paper and adhesive tape.
