The 160 g/m² glass fiber plaster mesh is a high-quality reinforcing material designed for the reinforced base layer in ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems). Manufactured from glass fiber and impregnated with an alkali-resistant coating, it provides outstanding durability, excellent tensile strength, and long-term performance in façade insulation systems.
Its primary function is to absorb stresses caused by temperature fluctuations, substrate movement, and the natural movement of the building structure. This significantly reduces the risk of cracks and surface damage in the plaster, ensuring a durable and aesthetically finished façade.
The mesh is embedded in the adhesive layer over thermal insulation materials such as polystyrene and mineral wool. It is also suitable for reinforcing areas prone to cracking, including plasterboard joints, corners, and window or door reveals.
Characteristics
- Fabric weight: 160 g/m²
- Impregnated with an alkali-resistant coating for excellent durability.
- The coating bonds effectively with adhesive mortar, preventing fiber fraying and deterioration.
- Durable Raschel weave with high tensile strength.
- Helps prevent cracks and surface damage in plaster layers.
- Compensates for stresses caused by thermal expansion when the façade is exposed to heat.
Applications
- Reinforced base layer in ETICS thermal insulation systems.
