Why Cersanit sanitaryware: basins, bathroom furniture and showers
Why this brand · Cersanit #2 · The brands Saniso stocks, and why
Cersanit sanitaryware is built to make one bathroom out of many parts: a ceramic washbasin, the furniture around it and a shower in the same design language. In this second Cersanit edition of our series Why this brand we stay with sanitaryware and focus on basins, bathroom furniture and showers. Toilets, cisterns and frames are already covered in depth in our earlier guides, so here they get one line and a link each. Last time we looked at the Cersanit tile collections; this time the walls get their fittings.
In short
The idea: washbasins, furniture and showers that share one design line, so the bathroom looks planned.
Basins: furniture washbasins, countertop basins and wall-hung basins from the Essentials, LARGA and Savio lines.
Furniture: ZEN in black steel with smoked glass, plus CITY and MILLE washbasin cabinets.
Showers: ZEN shower sets and thermostatic shower columns in matching finishes.
Priced today: 5 InStock products from €120.40, incl. and excl. VAT.
Why look at Cersanit sanitaryware as one bathroom?
A bathroom is a set of decisions that have to fit together: the basin decides the cabinet, the cabinet decides the mirror, and the finish of the shower should match the tap at the basin. Cersanit designs its sanitary lines with that in mind. ZEN, for example, runs from a black-steel wall cabinet to a matt-gold thermostatic shower column. That makes it easier to plan a complete bathroom from one brand, with fewer surprises in colour or style.

How do you plan a Cersanit bathroom from basin to shower?
Start with the basin, because it fixes the width of everything around it. Then choose the cabinet under or next to it, then the mirror or mirror cabinet above it, and finally the shower in the same finish. Ask yourself whether you want a basin on a cabinet or a countertop basin on a top; our guide on vanity with integrated washbasin or countertop basin explains that choice step by step.
Which Cersanit washbasin suits your bathroom?
Cersanit makes basins for three set-ups: a furniture washbasin that sits on a cabinet, a countertop basin on a top, and a wall-hung basin. The Cersanit New 50 is a priced InStock furniture basin that can also go straight on the wall. The colourful LARGA by Cersanit countertop washbasins in matt beige, grey, green, blue and brick red, and the Savio 40 countertop washbasin, are on the brand page as well, shown here as links only.
Cersanit Essentials Cersanit New 50 furniture washbasin
A white ceramic washbasin, 51 × 39 cm, with a central tap hole and an overflow. The product page says it can sit on a matching cabinet or be mounted directly on the wall, and lists a 10-year warranty. A safe, clean starting point for a family bathroom or a guest toilet with a hand basin.
What is it for? Main bathrooms and cloakrooms where you want a classic white basin with a single-hole mixer, on furniture or straight on the wall.

What does ZEN by Cersanit bathroom furniture add?
ZEN is Cersanit's design line in black steel: invisible welds, screws flush with the profile and shelves in smoked tempered glass. A wall cabinet and a mirror cabinet with the same frame give you storage that looks like one set. For classic wood or white washbasin cabinets, see CITY by Cersanit washbasin cabinets and MILLE by Cersanit washbasin cabinets on the brand page.
ZEN by Cersanit wall-hung cabinet 40, black
A slim wall cabinet in black steel, 39.5 × 59.5 × 15 cm, delivered mounted. Invisible welds and countersunk screw holes keep the frame clean, and two shelves in smoked tempered glass give the open look of the ZEN line.
What is it for? Next to a basin or above a toilet, for towels and daily items, in a bathroom with black or gold details.
ZEN by Cersanit mirror cabinet 80, black
A mirror cabinet in black steel, 79.5 × 59.5 × 17.6 cm, delivered mounted, with a movable mirror and two smoked-glass shelves. The same frame language as the ZEN wall cabinet, so both pieces read as one set on the wall.
What is it for? Above a double-width basin zone or a wide vanity, where you want storage and a mirror in one piece.
Which Cersanit shower sets and columns are there?
For the shower, ZEN comes in two steps: a shower set with a slide bar if you keep your current mixer, and a complete shower column with a thermostatic mixer for a new shower. Both share the 12 cm hand shower with Easy Clean nozzles and the matt-gold PVD finish. For the feeling of a rain shower, read the magic of a rain shower. Cersanit shower enclosures are not on the brand page at Saniso today, so this article stays with the shower fittings.
ZEN by Cersanit shower set with bar, matt gold
A wall-mounted shower set with a 12 cm hand shower, four spray functions (rain, massage, mist, rain & massage), a 150 cm hose and a slide bar. The product page lists a PVD finish, Easy Clean silicone nozzles and flow class A (11.48 L/min).
What is it for? Shower renovations where you keep your existing mixer and want a fresh, matching hand shower in matt gold.
ZEN by Cersanit shower column with thermostatic mixer, matt gold
A complete shower column with a thermostatic mixer using SAFE TOUCH technology, a 12 cm hand shower with five functions and a slide bar, adjustable in height from 86.2 to 116.2 cm. The page lists a PVD finish, Easy Clean nozzles and a 3-year warranty on the thermostat.
What is it for? A new walk-in or tiled shower where you want an overhead and a hand shower with steady temperature in one installation.
Where do you read about Cersanit toilets, cisterns and frames?
Toilets are a big part of Cersanit sanitaryware, and we have already written about them in depth. In short: Vortex flushing in buying a toilet bowl with Cersanit Vortex, complete hanging sets in Cersanit wall-hung toilet sets, the concealed cistern in Cersanit concealed cisterns, rimless sets in rimless wall-hung toilet sets, and installing the frame in the Cersanit concealed frame. Choose the toilet there, and use this article to make the basin, furniture and shower match it.
Which tips help you get the most out of Cersanit sanitaryware?
- Measure the wall width first and choose the basin before the cabinet.
- Check whether a basin has a tap hole, and order a matching mixer for it.
- Keep one finish (chrome, black or matt gold) for tap, shower and accessories.
- Choose a thermostatic shower column for a new shower; a shower set is enough when the mixer stays.
- Put quote-only products on your Project List for a quotation.
