Product information
The red Uponor mortar plug with 1/2 inch external thread is used for temporarily capping a mortar bracket or wall plate during the rough construction phase. This plastic plug protects the 1/2 inch internal thread against mortar, cement, dust, and damage during plastering and tiling.
Mortar plugs are used for shower wall plates, faucet connections, and other wall connections that will be finished later with a faucet, angle stop valve, or shower thermostat. By temporarily sealing the thread, the connection remains clean, intact, and immediately usable during final installation.
