Stalco at Saniso: tools, paint accessories and batteries from one brand

Painting a wall, hanging a shelf level, drilling a hole or mowing the lawn: almost every job needs tools that feel good in the hand and that you can keep adding to. Stalco is a brand you will meet at Saniso in many of those areas, from paint rollers and brushes to measuring tools, cordless tools and garden tools. In this brand blog you can read what Stalco is, what you will find from this brand at Saniso and how to choose and combine smartly.

Stalco

Stalco is a brand for tools and building supplies, from painting and hand tools to cordless tools and garden.

Who is Stalco?

According to its brand description, Stalco supplies tools, fastening materials and accessories for professionals in construction, industry and garden and landscape design. The brand has three lines: Stalco, Stalco Perfect and Stalco Garden. Stalco Perfect is meant for controlled, precise work in finishing, installation and construction, and Stalco Garden focuses on the garden.

For you as a DIYer or professional this has a practical advantage: a lot of tools belong to the same family. Rollers, brushes and spatulas come from the same brand as the spirit level, the tape measure and the cordless drill. With cordless tools, the batteries and chargers work within one system (S-Volt). That makes choosing and expanding easier.

Stalco at Saniso: what you will find in the range

Saniso, the online DIY store for building and renovating, has Stalco on three brand pages: Stalco, Stalco Perfect and Stalco Garden. You will find building tools, paint accessories, power tools, safety clothing and garden products, among other things. Prefer to browse by category? Go to tools or garden.

Paint rollers, brushes and painting sets

For walls and ceilings, the Gold Thread Universal paint roller is a practical choice: 250 mm wide, with a 12 mm pile of polyester fibres for emulsion, acrylic and latex paint. The roller leaves a fine texture and the sleeve is replaceable. Want everything in one go? The Green Thread Acryl painter's set includes a 150 × 290 mm paint tray, a handle and two 100 mm rollers.

There is plenty of choice in brushes. The Universal bench brush 170 / 70 / 70 holds a lot of paint and is meant for emulsion paint on walls, ceilings and wood, including uneven surfaces. The Universal wallpaper brush 150 has a wide working surface and a wooden handle. For details such as window frames, furniture and metal parts there is the Universal round brush ø50.

For preparation you will find the 100 mm painter's spatula with a stainless steel blade and a varnished wooden handle (the range runs from 30 to 120 mm), the flexible Japanese spatula for joints, holes and plaster work and the G120 abrasive mesh for sanding plasterboard and plaster.

Hand, measuring and fitting tools

For measuring and aligning there is the 100 cm spirit level made of aluminium with a measuring accuracy of 0.5 mm/m, the 150 cm masonry rule with handles and vials from the Stalco Perfect line and the 5 m × 19 mm tape measure with a shock-absorbing housing and two lock buttons.

You will also find the 450 g carpenter's hammer with a fibreglass handle and non-slip grip, the 8-piece screwdriver set with magnetic tips and a hanging rack and the silicone sealant gun for 330 ml cartridges, with a drip guard that helps prevent dripping.

Cordless tools and batteries

For cordless tools Stalco uses the 20V S-Volt system. The DS20-55BL cordless drill driver has a brushless motor, two speeds, 21 torque settings and a keyless chuck up to 13 mm, and comes with two 2 Ah batteries, a charger, a belt clip and a storage case. Need more power? The IDS20-75BL cordless hammer drill set has a hammer function for concrete and a torque of up to 75 Nm, with two 4 Ah batteries and a charger.

For renovation work there is the set with rotary hammer, drill driver and angle grinder: three machines, two 4 Ah batteries, a 100 W charger and a roomy tool bag. Also available separately are the 20V 4Ah BLS20-4AHP battery (21700 cells, LED charge indicator) and the BCS20-4A charger with active cooling for fast charging.

Garden

At Stalco Garden you will find, among other things, the LMS40-38BL cordless lawn mower with a 38 cm cutting width, five cutting heights and a 40 litre grass box, and the handy EXP hand cultivator for looking after the garden and flower beds. Always check the product page for current variants, sizes and what is included.

Tips: how to choose a paint roller and brush

Match the roller to the paint. A universal roller with a 12 mm pile suits emulsion, acrylic and latex paint on walls and ceilings. For a smooth result, for example on panelling or furniture, choose a shorter pile. Check on the product page which paints the roller is meant for.

Match the width to the job. A wide roller or bench brush covers a large wall quickly. A 100 mm roller and a round brush are handy for corners, frames and detail work.

Start with preparation. Remove loose paint with a painter's spatula, fill small holes with a putty knife and then sand with abrasive mesh. A clean, flat surface gives the best result.

A set as a starting point. A painting set gives you the tray, handle and rollers together. Spare rollers are sold separately, so you can use a fresh roller for each colour or paint type.

Clean after use. Rinse rollers and brushes straight away with the product that suits the paint and let them dry with the bristles or pile facing down.

How do you tackle a door or wall? Read the step-by-step guide in our blog How to paint a door and, for preparing a wall, How to plaster a wall. The spatulas and sanding in this blog come in handy there.

Tips: measuring, fixing and sealing

Start by measuring. A tape measure and a spirit level are the basics. Choose the length of the spirit level to match the job: short for a shelf, longer for a cupboard or a wall. A long rule with vials helps to align a larger surface.

Check flat and plumb. Hold the spirit level against the wall before you fix anything. With a masonry rule, the handles let you move it easily along the wall.

Choose a hammer that suits the work. A carpenter's hammer has a claw for pulling nails and a round head for driving in nails and tapping into place.

Screwdrivers by size. A set with slotted and Phillips heads in several lengths is handy for sockets, hinges and furniture assembly. A hanging rack keeps everything together.

Seal with a good sealant gun. A sturdy gun with a drip guard keeps the joint and the workplace clean.

Hanging a door or fitting hinges? Then our blog How to cut hinge recesses in an interior door comes in handy, along with the spirit level and tape measure.

Tips: choosing cordless tools and batteries

Choose a system. The 20V S-Volt system works with compatible batteries and chargers. According to the battery's product description, an extra battery or charger fits most Stalco cordless tools.

Mind the capacity. A 2 Ah battery is light and suits assembly work and small repairs. A 4 Ah battery lasts longer on drilling or with a heavier machine.

Choose the machine for the job. For screwdriving and small holes a drill driver is enough. If you drill into concrete or stone, choose a machine with a hammer function or a rotary hammer with SDS-Plus.

A set keeps things organised. A set often includes batteries, a charger and a case or bag, so everything is in one place.

A second battery saves waiting time. While one battery charges, you carry on with the other.

Work safely. Read the machine's manual and use suitable accessories and protective equipment.
