Indoor or outdoor: what do IP20, IP44, H05VV-F and H05RR-F mean?
The IP rating tells you how well a socket or housing keeps out dust and water. IP20 is for dry indoor spaces. IP44 is protected against splashing water, which is why the product pages call the IP44 cords and reels suitable for indoor and outdoor work. The cable code says something about the sheath: H05VV-F is a flexible PVC cable, the type the STALCO pages describe for indoor use, and H05RR-F is a flexible rubber cable for demanding applications. The second number in 3 × 1.5 mm² or 3 × 2.5 mm² is the cross-section of each core: a thicker core suits longer runs and heavier loads.
Which STALCO extension cords are there?
For one tool at a time, a single-socket extension cord is enough. The orange 10 m cord with PVC cable is the light choice for indoor work up to 10 A. The 10 m cord with rubber cable and IP44 carries up to 16 A and 3680 W and is made for building sites and outdoor work.

Why does a STALCO cable reel have two ratings, unrolled and wound?
A cable on a drum warms up under load, because the windings lie on top of each other and the heat has nowhere to go. That is why the STALCO IP44 reels list two values: 16 A and 3680 W with the cable fully unrolled, and 6 A and 1380 W with the cable wound on the drum. For a heavy tool, unroll the whole reel first. The orange 15 m reel is the indoor choice with four earthed sockets; the 20 m IP44 reel and the 50 m STALCO PERFECT HEAVY LINE reel are made for outdoor and site work.

What is it for? Large sites and long runs, from the site supply to the far side of the building or the garden.
What does a STALCO building distribution board do on site?
A building distribution board takes one 400 V site supply through its 32 A plug and divides it over several protected sockets: 230 V sockets for hand tools and lights, and 400 V CEE sockets for machines such as a concrete mixer. The RCCB of 30 mA switches off at a leakage current, and the circuit breakers protect each circuit against overload. STALCO offers the board as a wall-mounted housing and on a hanging stand. Have a qualified electrician provide and check the site connection the board plugs into.
